Mrs. Leah-Marie Froke, Principal

The Garden Lakes Elementary School community is excited to welcome Mrs. Leah-Marie Froke as the new Principal for the 2026-2027 school year!

Mrs. Froke brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and a deep passion for student success. She began her educational journey teaching at Canyon Breeze Elementary School before serving as a Reading Interventionist at Sunset Ridge Elementary School. Throughout her career, she has also served as an instructional coach at Rio Vista Elementary School and most recently as Assistant Principal at Villa de Paz Elementary School.

Mrs. Froke is a collaborative leader who is committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student, staff member, and family feels valued and supported. Her dedication to academic excellence, meaningful relationships, and whole-child development makes her an outstanding addition to the Garden Lakes community.

Ms. Alicia Steiger, Assistant Principal

Ms. Alicia Steiger has been in the field of education as an English Language Development (ELD) teacher, Instructional Coach, and Assistant Principal. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Middle School Social Studies and a master's degree in Education Administration and Supervision. Prior to becoming a teacher, she was a project coordinator for a civil engineering company.

Ms. Steiger has a deep passion for helping teachers make an impact on student learning. Her goal is to continue to provide a supportive climate and culture at Garden Lakes that is conducive to teaching and learning. By doing so, each individual student and teacher can experience growth to their fullest potential.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, and spending quality time with her loved ones and her rescue dog McClane.
